Founding Partner
With a background in financial management and deep experience across both buy-side and sell-side M&A, Emil specializes in deal structuring, valuation, and post-close execution.
He has reviewed hundreds of transactions and earned a reputation for aligning sellers, operators, and investors through creative, win-win structures. Leveraging a trusted network of brokers and intermediaries, Emil identifies off-market opportunities early and moves decisively when the right deal arises.
His operational experience and long-term value creation mindset allow Yakuboff & Co to move beyond capital — driving growth through strategic add-ons, integration, and disciplined execution. Emil holds a BBA in Financial Management and has advised founders, family businesses, and investors on growth, capital raising, and exits.
Ellie Jacobs
Director of Operations
Ellie Jacobs holds a Master's of Business, Entrepreneurship and Technology Degree and drives post-acquisition integration and operational strategy at Yakuboff & Co, with a track record of turning high-potential businesses into scalable platforms. At StylePhotos, she led the shift to a hybrid SaaS model and helped launch SP Studios, one of Canada’s first ICVFX production studios.
Previously with Deloitte’s Emerging Technology team, Ellie prototyped AI tools and researched automation trends. She also founded Flocelliere, a science-backed consumer brand recognized by the Ontario government. Her leadership is backed by certifications in sales, strategy, and consulting — and accolades from Deloitte, the Hult Prize Foundation, and beyond.
